On the occasion of the Olympic Games, the “En Shapes” exhibition will be held from June 14 to October 6 at the Maison du tourisme et des Projets. Discover innovative projects designed by 16 ENSI students to encourage physical activity in public spaces.

Accompanied by their teachers, 16 students from the National School of Industrial Creation (ENSCi – Les Ateliers) participated from October to December 2023 in a “project workshop” dedicated to the principles of movement in an urban fabric in depth mutation of the ZAC des Ardoines, one of the largest development operations in Île-de-France. The opportunity to work on a route that connects this transforming district and its new public facilities (college in particular) with the already established urban fabric.

They imagined scenarios to encourage walking, playing, “active mobility” (cycling, scooters, etc.) and sport in public spaces, by making them easy to practice, without supervision, and free for all, while a paradigm shift is taking place: after a century of motorization, pedestrians are taking over from cars in the city, overturning the typology of public spaces formerly focused on the transport of goods and people.

The organizer is: The town of Vitry-sur-Seine
