US Orléans announced the signing of midfielder Guillaume Khous. The 31-year-old knows the National well with more than 150 matches in the division under his belt but also his new coach Hervé Della Maggiore whom he has already worked with at Villefranche. He wore the colors of Fréjus Saint-Raphaël, in N2, this season.

The USO press release on the arrival of Guillaume Khous

An experienced player (153 National matches), Guillaume Khous (31 years old) has signed up for the next 2 seasons and will strengthen the Wasps midfield. The midfielder signed a contract with US Orléans until 2026.

A nice route and a climb with JA Drancy

A native of Tremblay-en-France, Guillaume Khous began his career with young people near Torcy, before starting with seniors at JA Drancy in 2010. After experiences in Hungary (SZTK, 2012-2014) and in Spain (Sestao River , 2014-2015), the midfielder returned to France and the Paris region at JA Drancy in 2016. And if he joined Paris FC in Ligue 2 in 2017, it was on loan with JA Drancy that the player experienced a rise from National 2 to National at the end of the 2017-2018 season with 24 matches played and 10 goals scored.

Solid experience of the National Championship

Guillaume Khous then discovered the National Championship in 2018-2019 (32 matches, 2 goals), before giving new impetus to his career by joining Football Bourg-En-Bresse Péronnas 01 at the dawn of the 2019-2020 financial year where he will build solid experience at this level (55 matches, 10 goals, 5 assists). The rest will be written at FC Villefranche Beaujolais where he is coached by Hervé Della Maggiore in 2021-22 (36 matches), then at CS Sedan Ardennes in 2022-2023 (34 matches). In 2023-2024, he made a whopping 23 appearances with Fréjus Saint-Raphaël in National 2.

With 312 matches to his credit (48 goals, 22 assists), Guillaume Khous will now put his rich experience at the service of US Orléans where he will reunite with his former coach, Hervé Della Maggiore.

Guillaume Khous’ first reaction

“I am very happy to join an ambitious club that is in line with my aspirations. I’m very happy to be at the USO today. The Stade de la Source has often been a success for me as an opponent and I have only heard good things about the club. The decision was therefore easy to make, even more so with the arrival of the coach, because it is easier to work with a coach you know. »

“My objectives will be the same as those of the club. The goal will be to pull everyone in the same direction in order to best help the team. That’s the most important thing in my eyes. I am also here to pass on my experience on the field to win as many matches as possible, but also to support the youngest in their progress with the USO. »
