Zapping Foot National Interview – The underside of amateur football, with Romain Molina

While the French team now knows its opponent for the round of 16 of Euro 2024, the clubs of the fourth French division continue to announce movement. This is particularly the case of FC Villefranche-Beaujolais, which noted the departures of Julien Kouadio and Bakari Camara after the end of their contract. The Caladois club could, however, not be present at the start of the school year in National 2 in the event of a fairly probable draft in National. As for the third French division, Adrien Pagerie has decided to leave US Orléans to join FC Chambly. The 32-year-old defender is the Oise club’s third recruit since the transfer market opened.

Five years after his departure, Lenny Leonil returned to the Falcons. The striker, who finished joint-top scorer for AS Cannes last season with nine goals, has decided to return to Andrézieux-Bouthéon and his Envol Stadium. The 26-year-old also passed through Luxembourg. A year after signing for Chamalières, Joseph Séry joined the National side for US Concarneau. The 23-year-old center forward scored seven goals in 25 National 2 goals last season. Finally, Stade Poitevin saw Théo Lucbert arrive from Aviron Bayonnais. The 26-year-old left winger scored six goals in 23 National 3 appearances last season.

To sum up

While the French team now knows its opponent for the round of 16 of Euro 2024, the clubs of the fourth French division continue to announce movement. This is particularly the case for FC Villefranche-Beaujolais.
