It's the end of two months of caravan thefts in the town of Magny le Hongre (Seine-et-Marne). Since the end of September, residents of the town have regularly published photos of their vandalized cars on a Facebook group, “Living well in Magny”. Broken windows, torn dashboards and meters, stolen objects, the facts were recurring. “They were active on average once every two nights between 2 a.m. and 4 a.m.,” a police source assures us.
Residents mobilized

Caught in the act
Finally, on the night of Wednesday November 13 to Thursday November 14, the thieves, aged 28 and 32, were spotted by a neighbor's camera. Warned, an on-site patrol was able to set up “a sort of trap. » “Police officers in plain clothes carried out surveillance in the night to try to catch individuals in the act. Once they were sure of their decision, they tightened their grip with the uniformed crews and arrested the suspects,” continues a police source.
In total, They were accused of 21 acts. Of foreign origins, one under OQTF and the other prohibited from returningthey confessed everything and were tried in immediate appearance with admission of guilt this Friday, November 15 by the Meaux court.
