Météo France placed the departments of Vienne and Deux-Sèvres on orange alert this Thursday. The episode will begin at 11 a.m. and is expected to end at 8 p.m. According to Météo France, the CAETANO depression will cross France from west to east, bringing strong winds from the Atlantic coasts to the Alps.
Gusts up to 110 km/h
The westerly wind will set in on Thursday morning on the Atlantic coast, then will progress quickly towards the east of the country, on a Poitou-Charentes/Northern Alps axis. Inland, gusts will generally reach 100 km/h, with peaks possibly exceeding 110 km/h occasionally.
Train traffic interrupted
In view of the weather conditions, the SNCF has decided to interrupt train traffic this Thursday on the following lines. Affected travelers are invited to postpone their trip and not to go to the station.
