A few hours before the first day of the Draft ceremony, it is still impossible to say with certainty in which position Zaccharie Risacher will land. Regardless, his self-proclaimed rival made sure to reignite their beef before the big night.

It must be believed that his great performances against Monaco in the Betclic ÉLITE playoffs have not gone unnoticed across the Atlantic. Zaccharie Risacher has indeed seen his rating rise in the NBA sphere following what should remain like his last matches with JL Bourg. So much so that he appears today as the favorite to be chosen with the 1st pick of the Draft according to the majority of experts.

Matas Buzelis returns to attack Zaccharie Risacher

If he were indeed selected by the Hawks this Wednesday, Risacher would arrive in the NBA with a certain pressure on his shoulders. The members of the league may indeed be waiting for it, starting with Matas Buzelis. Announced in the Top 5 of the Draft, the American prospect had already challenged his French counterpart recently and has done it again in recent hours at the microphone of Shams Charania:

Matas Buzelis : I think everyone misinterpreted what I said when I said it. Obviously I respect Zach, he’s a great player, but he doesn’t want to be against me. I’d rather be honest, he doesn’t want that smoke. I’m not going to change my tune on that. But the offer still stands, of course. I’m just waiting for a response from him.

Convinced of being able to gain the upper hand over Risacher in a one-on-one situation, Buzelis clearly has no intention of going back on his words. Enough to guarantee a great rivalry next year on the courts of the league. Until then, the over-confidence displayed by the former G-League Ignite has not necessarily been well received in the US by Internet users, who have been merciless towards him:

He talks a lot for someone who shoots 22% from 3 points

It smells like a bust

Definitely sure of his strength, Matas Buzelis persists and signs by affirming that he would dominate Zaccharie Risacher in a possible 1-vs-1. Unfortunately for him, the French nugget does not seem to attach much importance to these repeated provocations.
