After the violent storms that occurred last week, individuals or businesses observing damage requiring recognition of the state of natural disaster must report to the town hall before this Thursday, June 27, 2024. The request will then go to the prefecture.

Impacted by bad weather, between June 17 and 21, 2024, the city of Laval (Mayenne) wishes the state of natural disaster to be recognized. A step “prior to triggering the process of compensation for insured property of individuals and businesses damaged by a natural phenomenon of abnormal intensity”, reminds the community.

To be compensated, “an insured person must declare the loss to their insurance within five days, then contact their town hall so that it can forward it to the prefecture”. If individuals or businesses wish to report “damage requiring recognition of the state of natural disaster, you are asked to send their contact details by email to [email protected]

The city of Laval will contact the interlocutors “to retrieve photos of disasters in order to compile your application file”. These must be submitted before this Thursday, June 27. “It is therefore requested to contact the city before this date. »
