If the Landreau pharmacy (in the Nantes Vignoble) had to close a month ago, the nine other health professionals continue to work within a building yet failing.
Built in 2021, the health center indeed presents defects in the wastewater evacuation network.
THE first traces of humidity in the premises on the ground floor of the Landreau health center appeared at the end of 2022, a few months after the installation of the practitioners.
These warning signs have turned into moldthen in obvious water infiltration from the end of 2023.
Deteriorating working conditions
The osteopath, faced with these disorders, moved in December 2023 to premises located on the upper floor. To compensate for the inaccessibility of certain spaces, the beautician was installed in a break room on the intermediate level.
Today, professionals meet without room for lunch, forced to occupy unsuitable vacant space in the dental practice.
In addition to humidity problems, other malfunctions accumulate: a shutter blocked for a year, a faulty timer leaving the hallway and stairs in the dark, recurring leaks in the doctors' toilets, and non-functional electrical equipment.
Practitioners also denounce lack of follow-up: the inventory carried out upon their entry in May 2022 was never communicated, and the report on air quality, commissioned by the town hall, remains inaccessible.
We are tired of battling these technical issues while we are here to provide an essential health service.
Failing communication with Landreau town hall
The lack of communication between professionals and the municipality aggravates their feeling of abandonment. “We had several contacts at town hall, some of whom are no longer in office. This complicates the monitoring of files,” they explain.
The only clarification for caregivers is the letter published by the mayor on the municipality's website, perceived as a gesture of listening and calming. However, they are waiting for concrete actions.
A bucket to empty regularly
Despite the arrival of an expert commissioned by the town hall last February, no lasting solution has yet been implemented. THE practitioners worried about delays linked to legal findings which slow down the work, in particular the sanitation of the premises of the pharmacy, still closed (since October 14).
Faced with a leak from dental equipment, the professionals themselves had to cobble together a temporary solution with a bucket to empty regularlydue to lack of rapid intervention.
A call to preserve health in Landreau
Beyond the material problems, it is the cohesion of the medical team, although exemplary, which is put to the test. Practitioners fear that these malfunctions do not weaken the provision of care in the municipality.
“The issue goes beyond our working conditions: it is about preserving an essential health service in Landreau,” they warn. In a context of uncertainty, They call on the municipality to act quickly to restore dignified conditions and perpetuate their activity in the service of residents.
