Manchester United is pushing for Jean-Clair Todibo

Will Jean-Clair Todibo manage to play for Manchester United next season? After three seasons at OGC Nice, the French defender seems closer than ever to a departure, but his destination could well change at the last minute. As a reminder, while Manchester United had reached an agreement with the Aiglons to recover the French international, UEFA blocked the deal. The reason ? INEOS. Indeed, the giant English group is the source of this dispute since it owns OGC Nice and holds significant shares in the Red Devils, this multi-ownership therefore creates a conflict of interest for UEFA which now wishes to sanction this.

INEOS sends the file to the CAS

However, according to journalist Sacha Tavolieri, the group led by Sir John Ratcliffe has not said its last word and is pushing to finalize this transfer. INEOS is contesting the regulations put in place by the European body and should take this case to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in the hope of allowing Todibo to join the Premier League, with the Red Devils. Note that if the transfer does indeed go through, the main interested party has several emergency exits at his disposal with Bayer Leverkusen, Borussia Dortmund, Juventus and Aston Villa.
