TV audiences: full success for TF 1 with the Euro then the legislative debate

Two figures were particularly expected this Wednesday morning: the audiences recorded the day before, Tuesday, by TF 1 with the Euro 2024 match between France and Poland live from 6 p.m. then, at 9 p.m., the debate of legislative elections between Jordan Bardella, Gabriel Attal and Manuel Bompard, representatives of the three parties leading the polls less than a week before the election.

The verdict is good for the front page. 9.35 million people therefore watched the draw between Kylian Mbappé’s teammates (and his mask!) live, according to Médiamétrie. The market share of the general public aged four and over is 53.8%. It rises to 60.3% for housewives over 50 (FRDA-50). This match with imitated stakes (since the Blues were guaranteed to play the round of 16) recorded the third best audience of the year 2024, held since last week by the first match of the France team in the Euro against to Austria (11.25 million viewers and 47.6% market share).

La Une also came out on top in prime time audiences with “Legislative: The Debate”. This major political evening, hosted by Anne-Claire Coudray and Gilles Bouleau, attracted 5.24 million voters, or 26.6% of the overall audience and 30.1% of FRDA-50. A good score for the channel, which outpaced all its rivals.
