An important emergency system was in place on rue de La Fontaine, in Cattenom, with, in particular, a vehicle specialized in the detection and recognition of chemicals, unique in the entire Grand Est zone.

No injuries were reported. An octogenarian, who allegedly spilled a chemical product, the nature of which remains to be determined, was taken care of by the gendarmes and should be hospitalized at the request of a third party.

Shortly after midday, reconnaissance continued and a security perimeter was still set up in front of the building concerned. Emergency services left around 4 p.m.
