Solidarity – Anthurium is a plant whose depolluting qualities have long been known and recognized. No wonder, therefore, that the founders of the resource center based in Tracy-le-Monton the Lisières de l'Oise side, chose this name for their associative structure born in May 2020.

Solidarity and ecological actions

Behind the environmental issue, resourcing makes it possible to put items that were destined for the dumpster back on the marketbut to which we give a second life, a whole economic project has taken shape. “ We help the community to reduce waste production » notes Emilie Grenier, director of L’Anthurium. And it is well known that the waste that costs the least is the waste that is not produced. But also, ” we promote the integration of people in difficulty “. Because in addition to the volunteers who started the adventure, an integration project was set up to collect, repair and resell the objects.

Since October 2021, these are like this 85 tonnes of waste which were avoided and 47 people in supported integration.

Supporting people in financial difficulties

Finally, third aspect and not the least, the resource center acts directly on the purchasing power, in particular of people in greatest difficulty, by allowing them to acquire small household appliances, crockery, furniture, etc. at a very good price. In short, everything you could need on a daily basis.

€5,000 to help the association develop

At the beginning of October, the association was given a check for €5,000 through the Prize for rural dynamics and solidarity organized by the Regional Economic, Social and Environmental Council (Ceser) of Hauts-de-.

A good boost that comes at just the right time. “ Today we want to develop our activities on mobility, because in a rural area like ours, devoid of public transport, this is an important question » continues Emilie Grenier. The latter is working to establish partnerships with local driving schools, “ to allow people to benefit from cheaper driving training “. Obtaining the precious key that is a driving license often opens the way to employment.
