The site is involved in several criminal cases, including the death of Philippe in Grande-Synthe.

Philippe C., 22, died on the night of April 15 to 16 as a result of being beaten by two attackers in the parking lot of a supermarket in Grande-Synthe (North).

“The qualification of assassination was retained by the prosecution, that is to say murder, aggravated by the circumstance of ambush. This qualification was retained to the extent that “there are reasons to believe that the accused waited for several Philippes in a place where they had arranged to meet him before killing him,” explained the public prosecutor of Dunkirk.

In this context, the Paris prosecutor’s office announced this Tuesday the closure of “Coco.gg”, implicated in the death of the young man since his attackers had ambushed him through the dating website.

Homophobic attacks

“Other attacks committed [notamment homophobes] in similar circumstances”that’s to say “after appointments arranged on the dating site Coco” have also been reported.

This closure was ordered under the authority of the National Jurisdiction for the Fight against Organized Crime of the Paris Public Prosecutor’s Office, reports france info, in conjunction with the command of the Ministry of the Interior in cyberspace, the cyber unit of the gendarmerie , the national anti-fraud office “and cooperation with other European countries through Eurojust”, specifies the Paris prosecutor’s office.
