This Sunday, November 17, the Grand Prix of the CSI 3*-W in Warsaw, support for a stage of the Central European League of the Show Jumping World Cup, fell into the hands of Dennis van den Brink.
Opposed to forty-nine other riders in this competition, the Dutchman had saddled Aonia Domain (SF, Mylord Carthago x Rêve d’Elle) and signed one of the only five clear rounds recorded during the initial round. This gave the competitors a hard time, since there were no less than nine abandonments! In the jump-off, only two couples managed to reproduce their performance from the first round, and Dennis van den Brink was the fastest with his Selle Français. Born to Pascal Binet, she made her competitive debut in France under the saddles of Rémi Pierart, Jennifer Pardanaud and Skye Higin. By crossing the finish line in 36”32 today, she pocketed her twelfth international victory, but only the second at 1.50m. She beat Alien Zin’Galeriani (PZHK, Zinedine x Numero Uno), the mount of Wojciech Wojcianiec, who cut the cells in 38”45 to sign the best Polish performance of the event. Michael Kötz and Cellato (Holst, Cellestial x Calato) completed the podium by delivering the best of the second four-point runs.
