The event is fast approaching. On July 10, 11 and 12 from 7:30 p.m., La Ciotat culture launches the second edition of the International Jazz Festival in La Ciotat near the Théâtre de la Mer.

The event was a great success in 2023. Organized by around thirty volunteers from La Ciotat culture and jazz Fola for artistic programming, supported by the Métropole, the City, your newspaper La Provence, BFM-TV but also France Bleu, the event takes place on the open-air stands with two shows per evening. The central location of Port Vieux is easy to access, with parking nearby and plenty of restaurants and bars to extend the festival evening. At the foot of the stage, friendly atmosphere guaranteed with refreshment bar and mini-catering on site.

Each jazz evening, a different musical atmosphere will be offered. On the program, discovery concerts in the first part and some well-known names follow. Bongi, in the colors of South Africa, will mix urban folk and afro-pop against a backdrop of South African rhythms.

A cultural bridge between continents

She sings in Xhosa, her native language. On the second day, Cathy Heiting will be on stage, with Massa & Benhamou as opening acts. Cathy’s voice is deliciously accompanied by a quality quartet with jazz, soul and funk rhythms. The last concert of the festival, scheduled for July 12, will offer the public a live performance by Angie Wells & Raphaël Lemonier which promises to be a great success.
