A Sétoise woman was unable to do anything when her little dog, during a walk, was attacked by a Malinois cross pit bull.

Even hitting the dog with a tray, he wouldn’t let go
At the beginning of last week, Sophie took out Nino, a 7-year-old Spitz cross chihuahua, on a leash. While passing in front of the open gate of a house, a large Malinois cross pitbull type dog attacked their dog. Sophie, disabled, could do nothing to free Nino. “It was extremely violent for three minutes, says Eddy, who arrived just after the tragedy. The neighbors present at the scene were unable to do anything, even hitting the dog with a tray, he wouldn’t let go.”. Meanwhile, the dog’s owner “raised his arms to the sky and ran away”.
A repeat offender?
“When I arrived, two minutes later, Nino was inert, Eddy says. Just his eye moved when he heard my voice.”. And the vet couldn’t do anything. Sadness. But also anger. Because the aggressor dog is, it seems, accustomed to. “Several months ago, he already tried to attack my dog. It was my son who was holding the leash, he managed to pull Nino awayremembers Eddy. A few weeks ago he attacked another dog and ate its ear. And it happened just for people.”
Complaint filed
Particularly upset, Eddy and Sophie filed a complaint at the police station. They also asked the municipal police to check the dangerousness of this dog. “We want the owner to take responsibility, so that this never happens again”they say in unison.
