Egyptian singer Ahmed Saad indicated, Sunday in Rabat, that he wishes to perform a song of authentic and unique Moroccan heritage, wishing to be able to sing alongside a Moroccan artist.

During a press conference dedicated to the concert given the day before on the Nahda stage, as part of the Mawazine Rythmes du monde festival, the Egyptian artist expressed his particular attachment to the song which translates sincere feelings.

Asked about his first participation in Mawazine, the artist confided that singing in Morocco has “a particular flavor”, describing the Moroccan public as “exceptional”.

“I was waiting for this opportunity with great enthusiasm, because I know that Morocco has an audience with a high musical taste,” he said.

The singer at the same time expressed his sincere thanks to the Moroccans for their hospitality and their interaction, which, for him, was the real success of Saturday’s concert.

Born in 1981 in Cairo, Ahmed Saad grew up in a family of artists. He began his career in 2003 by releasing his first album “Achki Lmin”. In 2007, he released a series of singles which greatly contributed to his fame.

Placed under the High Patronage of King Mohammed VI, the 19th edition of the Mawazine-Rythmes du Monde Festival (June 21-29) offers a rich and demanding program that mixes the biggest stars of the world and Arab repertoire, making the cities of Rabat and of Salé the scene of exceptional encounters between the public and renowned artists.
