After the resignation on October 7 of the mayor of Biars-sur-Cère Elie Autemayoux, the new mayor Angèle Préville invited the residents of the town on Friday November 8. At this meeting, more than 350 people came to attend the presentation of the new municipal team and its program. If the inhabitants of Biars know Angèle Préville who sits within the municipal majority and who has already assumed the responsibilities of departmental councilor and senator, everyone was impatient to know the near future of the commune.
“I therefore succeed Elie Autemayoux, mayor who resigned for health reasons, and as I have already said, I follow in the footsteps of my predecessors, Elie but also Albert Salle, in what they held high for justice social and solidarity, at the heart of our concerns more than ever My commitment is resolute and sincere, not only to obviously defend the interests of the municipality, but above all to defend you and to allow a peaceful life and fulfillment for you. Biars, particularly to young people.”
Then, Angèle Préville addressed the property tax: with explanations concerning its sharp increase. She assured that it will be down in 2025 for everyone!
She continued with a project that is close to her heart: involving the population through the establishment of participatory councils. After having communicated details on the composition and functioning of this council which will be set up very quickly for a subject already under study but not decided, and another to be debated quickly.
In the projects carried out by the town hall, the possibility depending on the family coefficient of paying €1 per canteen from January 2025, and the project of a shared garden on municipal land.
After the new mayor's interesting and informative speech, the deputies went up to the desk to introduce themselves to the assembly, before sharing a nice snack together.
