There was a crowd to inaugurate on Friday November 8, 2024, in the presence of many personalities, the renovation of the recreation room from the city of Binic-Etables-sur-Mer (Côtes-d’Armor).
Old station
It was in 1960 that the first stone of the recreation room was laid. It sealed the end of the little train and the Etables-sur-Mer station. From this history, the municipal team wanted to preserve a reminder of the railway past. It is in this spirit that the architects of the ICAR workshop, Anthony Lalande and Thierry Cadio, imagined this renovation: with its entrance, its shape, its materials, its location, it evokes the old station, which remains in the memory of many inhabitants.
The Binic-Etables-sur-Mer leisure room, which can accommodate 360 peopletherefore now has renovated equipment, perfectly insulated in biosourced materials with reinforced sound insulation.
The boiler room was replaced by an efficient and silent double flow system.
All sanitary facilities have been renovated (with rainwater collector), accessibility and security improved.
The cuisine was completely renovated by the technical services of the town hall with new equipment.
Fund trans
Such a project required a significant budget: €825,705 for the work to which must be added the project management for 50 634 €.
The support for this project was very important, particularly from the State with a DSIL grant (Local Investment Support Grant) of €100,000 and €200,000 for the Green Fund. The region contributed €166,680 and the SDE (Departmental Electricity Union) €17,500. For a total aid of €484,180.
David Cochusecretary general of the prefecture and sub-prefect of the district of Saint-Brieuc, also underlined “the remarkable aspect of the project. All the more significant as this is the first request for a grant from the department's green fund. This building has really been renovated in an exemplary and optimal manner.”
