The day begins under a heavy sky over the eastern regions, in a line going from Saint-Joseph to Sainte-Marie via the Volcano region, the plains and Salazie.

In fact, a few showers still appear intermittently and are locally moderate in the South-East. Further west, and particularly on the beaches, beautiful sunny periods are observed.
As the hours pass, clearings return to the eastern coast, announcing a temporary drying of the air mass.
In the afternoon, showers are confined to the South-Eastern regions as well as the heights of the West and North-West. The interior of the island remains cloudy. The other seaside regions are benefiting from nice clearings.
Maximum temperatures are 23 to 27°C on the coast, 21°C in Cilaos and 12 to 13°C in Maïdo or Pas de Bellecombe-Jacob.
The trade wind is quite strong in the regions from Pointe au Sel to Saint-Joseph with gusts of 60 km/h, locally 65 to 70 km/h towards Saint-Pierre. From Saint-Benoît to Sainte-Marie, gusts are close to 60 km/h as well as on exposed heights.
The sea is rough in the South and East with a trade wind swell of around 2.5 meters. It is rough elsewhere.
