A political alliance made up of six parties and an independent list managed to obtain the presidency of the Taza municipal council, where parliamentarian Mounir Chenter of the Istiqlal party was tasked with assuming the position of president and forming a government office capable of assuming responsibility for the city.

According to a joint statement, the components of the coalition indicated that it had been agreed to choose Mounir Chenter to lead the council on behalf of the Istiqlal party.

Through this approach, the coalition aims to ensure the progress of the work and the optimal management of the city’s affairs. The coalition, which agreed to form a majority, includes the parties of the National Rally of Independents, Progress and Socialism, Justice and Development, Ennahda, Reform and Development, in addition to the independent list Al Karama .

Results of the local elections of the Taza Community Council:

The results of the local elections held on September 8 showed a balanced victory between the parties, as the National Rally of Liberals won five seats, while the Istiqlal party won the same number of seats.

On the other hand, the Party of Progress and Socialism won three seats, while the Justice and Development and Ennahda parties each won two seats. The Reform and Development Party and the Dignity List also won one seat each.
