Night of Museums and cultural spaces: strolls and discoveries in Rabat

Organized by the National Museum Foundation (FNM), the Jardin Majorelle Foundation and the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication, the Night of Museums and Cultural Spaces attracted a large audience to various cultural spaces in Rabat , such as the Expressions CDG, Benya Art, Espace Rivages, Galerie Banque Populaire galleries and the Mohammed VI Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art.

«The plastic arts festival“, as it was nicknamed by artists and the public, was also celebrated at the National Museum of Photography, the Oudaya Ornament Museum and the Bank Al-Maghrib Museum.

To welcome this public attracted by the discovery of national and international artistic creations, these cultural spaces opened their doors from 6 p.m. until midnight. A team dispatched by Le360 went to the Benya Art gallery, located in the Agdal district, not far from the Ibn Sina covered room. The reason for choosing this location is simple: it is a gallery that has joined the Night of Museums and Cultural Spaces initiative for three years, encouraging young talents and exhibiting creations little known to the public.

Thus, this gallery exhibited the paintings of Mohamed Labied, nephew of the late visual artist Miloud Labied, who died in 2008. “I had strong ties with my uncle. It was he who made me love painting“, did he declare.

This event celebrating the start of summer gives the public of all ages and backgrounds the opportunity to visit several museums and cultural spaces spread across different cities in Morocco, including Oujda, Tetouan, Tangier, Assilah, Fez, Meknes, Rabat, Casablanca, Safi, Azilal, Marrakech, Essaouira and Agadir.
