Art has a special place in the life of Marie Hurel. This resident of Montgeron (Essonne) highlights her lifelong love of art bathed in a colorful world where shimmering works rub shoulders with poetic and artistic touches like papier-mâché totems.

A passion born from childhood

A nice nod for the artist who enjoys working different materials, no matter the size of the latter and whatever the support.

“I like to hunt at flea markets and remain relatively sensitive to crushes,” confides the 61-year-old from Esson who also does not hesitate to work on different projects at the same time; she who admits to having “nearly 1,000 ideas per hour”.

His passion for art comes from his youthful journey with a pronounced taste for drawing.

An appetite which has strengthened over the course of meetings, in particular some teachers who encouraged her to follow this path in his youth just like his parents.

Training in a recognized art school

On her way and after several competitions, she finally joined the Higher School of Applied Artsa reference in the capital.

His training allows him to train in several techniques, particularly those of material, volume and color.

Decorator in the field of mass distribution for more than thirty years, the Montgeronnaise appreciates human contact and the idea of ​​changing themes with the seasons while introducing her work to as many people as possible.

Multiple sources of inspiration

At the same time, Marie Hurel has created the Urban'ARTS91 association in Montgeron composed of a collective of artists who have already exhibited more than twenty times in the south of Paris.

L'Essonnienne also participates in numerous trade fairs for exhibit his works as well as exhibitions at Jean Hardouin Center from Montgeron.

“I am also preparing other local events », evokes Marie Hurel who has a pronounced affection for raw and singular art.

“I like to create, in peace, in my workshop, with music. Weather, everyday life, seasonsare real sources of inspiration for me,” concludes the artist.
