This Thursday, November 14, a 55-year-old man was sentenced by the Aude Assize Court to thirty years of criminal imprisonment for rape and sexual assault on three boys between 2002 and 2005 in Carcassonne.
The Aude Assize Court delivered its verdict this Thursday, November 14, in a case of “repeat rape and sexual assault on a 15-year-old minor” committed between 2002 and 2005 in Carcassonne on three boys, including two children of the partner of the accused at the time. The latter, aged 55, was sentenced to thirty years of criminal imprisonment with socio-judicial monitoring for ten years and an obligation to receive psychological care. The prosecution also requested thirty years in prison, including twenty-two years of security.
This case has been on trial at the Carcassonne court since Tuesday, November 12. A partial closed session was requested that day by Ms.e Quentin Poirot-Seynaeve (Carcassonne bar), the lawyer for one of the civil parties.
Already convicted of rape of minors
This is not the first time that this fifty-year-old has been convicted by the courts for rape of minors. In fact, he was diagnosed as a pedophile for many years. In 1996, he was tried, for the first time, for acts of sexual assault by the Lille criminal court.
But in 2011, it was for rape of minors that he was sentenced by the Aude Assize Court to twelve years of criminal imprisonment. Then to twenty-five years of criminal imprisonment by the Haute-Garonne Assize Court in September 2023, also for acts of rape of minors.
