The arrest took place on Sainte-Catherine Street, in the Village. This is where they allegedly carried out their illicit activities.

The Montreal City Police Service (SPVM) published a press release Friday to this effect.

“The suspects, a man in his thirties and a woman in her twenties, would have been very active traffickers in the sector,” said the SPVM. Searches conducted in the suspect’s hotel room and residence led to the discovery of 26 grams of cocaine and 260 grams of methamphetamine.

The woman was released after receiving a summons to appear. For his part, the man appeared at the Montreal courthouse shortly after his arrest. He was later released on conditions.

Furthermore, the SPVM also conducted a search on Thursday evening in a bar also located on Saint-Catherine Street East. A 30-year-old man was arrested. He had in his possession around ten grams of cocaine distributed in bags. The man also faces various charges related to drug trafficking. He was released on conditions.
