A 28-year-old man, incarcerated at the Saintes remand center (Charente-Maritime), escaped in the morning of Thursday, November 14, a little before 9 a.m., franceinfo learned from reliable sources.

According to the first elements of the investigation, this man took advantage of the moment when he was helping a prison employee take out the trash to flee. At this time, these sources add, he is still wanted. The Saintes prosecutor tells franceinfo that an investigation has been opened, entrusted to the Saintes police station.
