Eleven months later, is the anger of the French agricultural world about to awaken? Arnaud Rousseau, the president of the FNSEA, the first trade union organization in the sector, called for mobilization on Wednesday in all departments
starting next Monday. With one main objective in mind: to make public authorities aware of the risks “ dramatic
for French agriculture, of a possible ratification of the trade treaty negotiated by the European Union with the Mercosur countries.
The call owes nothing to chance. It comes on the eve of the G20 meeting in Brazil (November 17 and 18), where agricultural unions fear the definitive political endorsement of this draft agreement with the free trade zone which unites Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay and Bolivia. Agreement supported by the European executive, unlike France, isolated on the subject. From there to imagine the return of blockages on motorways and main roads like last January and February?
