Last Thursday, during the Stade Montois-Biarritz match, several vehicles were fined following inconvenient parking near the Guy-et-André-Boniface stadium, in Mont-de-Marsan (Landes).
The Stade Montois Rugby quickly addressed this situation in an official press release, explaining that this parking fine was neither a request from the mayor nor an initiative from the municipal police. It was in reality, as Actu.fr indicates, the work of agents of the National Police.
Apologies and cancellations
Via “working in collaboration with the public authorities to find immediate solutions”, the club has done everything possible to ensure that supporters are not penalized and that such a situation is not repeated. It was therefore decided with the national police services that these tickets would not be sent and that they were therefore cancelled.
The discussions also made it possible to find solutions for the next sporting events which will take place at the Guy-et-André-Boniface stadium. The idea is not only to avoid penalizing people who attend sporting events, but also not to disturb other users.
