In Ancenis-Saint-Géréon, the shelter will be able to accommodate 100 bicycles and 10 cargo bikes to meet growing demand and encourage travelers to reach the station by bike. The cost of this achievement of €175,000 is financed by the Pays de la Region at 65% and subsidized via the Alvéole Plus program at 35%.

Powered by photovoltaic panels

This bike shelter will be powered by four photovoltaic panels. It will be accessible by badge via mobile NFC technology for subscribers to the Aléop network. The secure sixteen-space bicycle shelter, located next to the SNCF building, will now be freely accessible.

Places for people without a subscription

People without a subscription will be able to benefit from additional free places. Finally, all other covered and uncovered bicycle parking spaces will be retained and will remain freely accessible. Commissioning is planned for the end of the year.

Parking

In terms of car parking, there will be little impact, since the new bike shelter will be located on the grassy area located between the railway line and Avenue de la Libération. Only one space should be neutralized to allow bicycles to enter the shelter. Access to this shelter will be possible from both sides, via landscaped paths.
