A letter punctuated with three racist sentences was found Tuesday in the mailbox of the Senegalese Association of Hérault, based in Montpellier.
According to Les Echos, Clare Hart, delegate for international outreach and European cooperation within Montpellier Métropole, jumped up with anger.
“I am totally horrified by the vile message received by the Association of Senegalese of Hérault – ASH, a unifying association in our territory for decades,” declared the elected official on Facebook.
The following statement is written on the letter: “France doesn’t need you, except the niggers”. The elected official shows his support for the members of the association, while emphasizing: “the current nauseating climate which allows base instincts to express themselves. » Before concluding: “we must not give in to hatred and violence. Let’s be outraged, let’s fight, let’s resist! » .
“It’s unacceptable, I can’t even express what I felt when I opened the envelope. This is the first time that we have received such a letter,” said the president of the association Ousmane Kamara.
“It’s gratuitous nastiness. What is the purpose of doing this? We are human beings, all the members of the association have strong links with France, I myself sometimes feel more French than Senegalese,” he reacts.
