Ce Wednesday November 20, 2024snow is expected in Haute-Savoie. In a press release, Météo indicates that it “will snow between 300 m and 600 m from the Vosges to the northern Alps, with showers”.

This should continue on Thursday, because the site specializing in climate adds that “the accumulations of snow in the Alps, in mid-mountains, will be significant and will require particular attention” for the next day.

In this context, the Department of Haute-Savoie closed several passes at the beginning of November.

Five passes closed, others will follow

In recent days, 5 passes have been closed by the Haute-Savoie authorities. For example, we find the neck of Joux-plane, on the RD354.

The collar of Joux Verte (Departmental road 338) and the ????ol of the Colombière (Departmental road 4) were also closed.

These passes come a few days after the closure of many passes in Savoie.
