Listen or read these words:

Jonathan d’Agostino in Talk WebGirondins: “This is Issouf Sissokho’s first full season, which allows us to take stock of the player. We can see that he was used in all the “sauces” by the two coaches, as a sentry, in an 8, on one side. It’s complicated to define a specific position for him, even if the number 8 position seems to suit him, especially with his heavy racing activity.”

Sissokho has big shortcomings

“But his technical level, his placement in the defensive phase, makes him an “ordinary” player, a complementary player at most. He’s had plenty of chances to shine this year, but he hasn’t lived up to expectations. I didn’t see him as a player who could have had a big impact on the squad, but at least become a regular starter. Sissokho will not explode in Bordeaux, possibly in another club, but the player has too many reflexes which are not good, which is easily observable from the stadium. If he had been better trained technically and tactically, he could have been very useful to a team.”
