Very early this Tuesday morning, a 20-year-old young man lost his life in Lot-et-Garonne, at Croix-Blanche. According to Actu.frthe driver veered into the opposite lane before hitting a car traveling in the other direction. A third vehicle then collided causing a major accident.
It is on the axis which connects Agen to Villeneuve-sur-Lot that the tragedy occurred. When firefighters arrived, two other cars collided, causing a major accident. The scale of the incident caused the closure of the national road 21 at Croix-Blanche for a good part of the morning.
One death and one man taken to hospital
The accident resulted in the death of a 20-year-old man and another person was injured. A 43-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman were also examined, but showed no injuries despite their involvement in the incident.
This tragedy is unfortunately not the first in the region. There are already 20 deaths in 2024 on the roads of Lot-et-Garonne. Law enforcement and firefighters worked all morning to free the damaged cars. Traffic resumed on national 21 during the day.
