According to investigators from the Trois-Rivières Police Department, an individual was shot and injured after the suspect discharged a firearm in his direction.
The victim, a 32-year-old man, was hit in the leg by the gunshot before heading to the hospital to receive the necessary treatment.
It all happened following an altercation between four individuals who had arranged to meet on Janvelly Street, in a recycling yard, to try to resolve a dispute.
“At a certain point, there would have been an escalation and the suspect, Yvon Jr. Grimard, would have fired in the direction of the victim,” specifies the spokesperson for the Trois-Rivières police department, Sergeant Luc Mongrain. .
Grimard, who is known to police circles, is actively sought following the issuance of an arrest warrant for assault with a weapon and assault causing bodily harm.
