Welcome home to Quarré-les-Tombes, and its Merovingian sarcophagi, with Marc Pautet, and to Auxerre, to Jean d’Océan Adéline Milley

Jean d’Océan in Auxerre, it is a fishmonger and a restaurant located within the fishmonger’s premises. It is possible to cook the fish you buy at the stall, or to choose the dish of the day, during store opening hours, Tuesday to Saturday from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m., as explained to us Adéline Milley. You can also taste oysters at the “Chez Jean” oyster bar! The “funny ladies” as they like to call themselves are also there to advise customers on how to prepare the products they offer.

You know the history of the tombs of Quarré-les-Tombes ? Marc Pautet is the president of Mémoires vivant of the canton of Quarré-les-Tombes, he presents to us the various theories linked to the discovery of these thousands of Merovingian sarcophagi.
