Cahors. “The Lot in a blue wheel”: the evening of solidarity

Jérôme Galleyrand, president of the Lot of good day association which runs the “Lot en meules bleues” festival and the “Lot en Bodéga” traveling festival, organized the volunteers’ evening on Friday, November 8 at the Toyota dealership in Cahors, a major partner. from “Lot in blue wheel”.

This evening is an opportunity for the president and his team to take stock of the 2024 edition with volunteers, partners and friends of the association. “Last year, the association was awarded the eco-responsible label for all activities thanks to our ongoing desire to reduce the carbon footprint (short circuits, carpooling at events, waste management). This year, we wanted to bring something different, to have a more important social aspect with on the one hand the continuation of our support with Hôpital Sourire and on the other hand by welcoming the “Ladies Circle” and the association “Pause aux filaos”. This is how we will hand over a check this evening for €1,900 to Hôpital Sourire and one for €1,380 to Pause aux filaos” indicates the president. “The “Ladies Circles” is a service club which helps associations and this year we are helping “Pause aux casuarinas” thanks to the profit generated by the raffle that we organized during the festival” explains Christine Bergougnoux, President. “Pause aux casuarinas is the only structure that welcomes isolated, battered women and works to reintegrate them into society” confirms Isabelle de Montpezat, vice-president. Céline Benayoun, president of Hôpital Sourire du Lot, recalls the objective which is to contribute to improving the comfort of patients hospitalized in Lot hospitals. “This check allows us to complete the budget of €28,000 to offer a spa bath to relieve palliative care at the Cahors hospital.

The “Lot of good day” association in a few figures: 25,000 festival-goers, 45 concerts organized, 320 volunteers, 100% of purchases through short circuits. A scoop: Jérôme Galleyrand confirms that the “Lot en meules bleues” festival will take place from September 11 to 13, 2025 and “Le Lot en Bodega” will take place in July and August 2025.
