The young Mosellan Théo Papamalamis was eliminated from the Moselle Open in 2 sets against the other Frenchman Quentin Halys (6-3 / 6-1).
It was the good surprise of the day, Mosellan Théo Papamalamis was recalled at the last minute to play against Quentin Halys. The latter was supposed to face Arthur Rinderknech (Fra) but he gave up. So, Théo Papamalamis became Lucky Loser and was able to play in the round of 16 of the Moselle Open. However, the step was way too high. Quentin Halys dominated his opponent with a score of 6-3 / 6-1.
The 18-year-old tennis player made the same observation as during his defeat in the qualifying phase (6-2 / 6-3 defeat against Jesper De Jong (Ned)). Théo Papamalamis admits that he does not have the level because the pace was quite high. In addition, he was not at his best physically and notably conceded 2 double faults.
