“We’re going to put a bullet in your head.”

They carry a very heavy and painful history behind them. But the scar of the war experienced in Chechnya did not dissuade Ramzan Tsakaev and Adlan V. from violence. On the contrary: it has become a modus operandi.

The result is a chatty script from which the methods and intimidations preceding the acts of these two performers emerge. “We’re going to act, throw you in a trunk then put a bullet in your head”threatens the duo, to a “client” from Saint-Avertin from whom they demand the sum of €50,000. “ If you don't cough up the 4,000, I will rape you and then take care of your family.”they address to a second creditor of Saint-Pierre-des-Corps. Further away, “reacting in the French way is slutty behavior, I will cut off the thief’s hand”says one of the two friends, in a passage taken from wiretaps. Sums reaching €75,000 in total are mentioned.

Executors serving Polish cigarette trafficking

Ramzan Tsakaev and Adlan V., 26 and 31 years old, were sentenced to twenty-four (1) and twelve months in prison, Wednesday November 6, 2024. Two convictions imposed on extortion and attempts committed against half a dozen Tourangeaux until June 2024, the date of their arrest by the GIGN gendarmes in a La Rabaterie parking lot in Saint-Pierre-des-Corps.

We will know nothing from the explanations given at the hearing. One of the defendants requested the closed session for considerations “related to morals”, his lawyer pleaded for him. A nebulous request which even raised eyebrows from his co-defendant friend.

Bullets in the leg and “armed arms”

What, according to our information, is established is the context in which these two men allegedly acted. It is particularly linked to the evening of Sunday June 9, a few hours before their arrest. The Chechen pair then sowed terror in a pavilion in Montlouis-sur-, between threats of bullets in the leg and burning down a couple's house. Six and eighteen months in prison were handed down for this unique scene.

The motive, common to both parts of this case: trafficking in Polish cigarettes in the service of which Ramzan Tsakaev and Adlan V. play the henchmen. “Armed Arms”specifies a judicial source, while a revolver, which has not been found, is described by several victims.

According to several sources, the directives leading to this violent series were dictated from a prison in the region (). They could come from the former head of trafficking, anxious, despite captivity, to see the debts purged.

(1) Sentenced for the first time to eighteen months in prison, in June 2024, Ramzan Tsakaev benefited from a confusion of sentence, the heavier “absorbing” the less significant.

To publish the names or not?

> The editorial staff of La Nouvelle République does not publish the names of victims or people sentenced to sentences of less than two years in prison except in the case of cases with particular impact (public figures, desire for media coverage on the part of plaintiffs…). This essential principle of the newspaper's charter for the treatment of news items explains why one of the two convicts is only referred to here by the initial of his name.
