This restaurant owner from the North is angry. Patron of the Brasserie du Boulonnais in Cambrai, Béatrice Laurent was robbed by customers on Sunday evening. The thugs dined at her place and left the restaurant without paying, she denounces on Facebook, threatening to publish the faces of the thugs.
“This evening four people went out to smoke,” she wrote. They ate, consumed and there was no one left. They left without paying. » Supported by its publication, the capture of a video surveillance image shows the customers. Their face is covered with an emoji. But the restaurateur warns: “Please pay the bill otherwise your face will be broadcast and a complaint will be filed. »
According to Béatrice's account to France Bleu, seated in front of surveillance cameras installed less than a year ago, these four young customers drank that evening for 150 euros. “They had aperitifs, more expensive meats, steaks, wine (…) They had fun. I never would have thought that they would have left without paying,” she told RMC. They went back and forth to smoke outside.
The group seems at ease. “No one knew them and they spoke to the boss on familiar terms! “, the establishment’s waitress asks La Voix du Nord in surprise. “The irony is that they had reservations! Whether it's under a false name, I don't know. You have to be cheeky though! », adds Béatrice Laurent. Their meal finished, the small group does not return from the cigarette break.
At the microphone of France Bleu, the owner of the place specifies: “I give them three days to come and pay before going to file a complaint” According to the trader, the threats on social networks could work: during a first “resto-basket “, a client's wife showed up to settle the debt.
“If they come back to pay, I don’t follow up. And then I will ask why they did that,” imagines the Cambrésienne who laments: “We work like crazy. We don't deserve this.”
