Disappearance

“Dédé” Acquaviva is gone

The campaign of outgoing MP Jean-Félix Acquaviva is in mourning by the death of his father, Jean-André Acquaviva, which occurred during the night from Sunday to Monday.

The man affectionately called “Dédé” by those close to him was also known for his past as an early activist in the nationalist cause. Present during the events of Aleria in 1975, alongside Edmond Simeoni, he was also, at the beginning of the sixties, part of the historic mobilization against the atomic tests at Argentella. A dental surgeon by profession, Dédé Acquaviva had never stopped following his son’s journey, until his health problems which dated back to last February. He was 92 years old.

He will be buried this Wednesday, June 19, at 3 p.m., in his village of Lozzi.

Mossa Palatina

The designs of Nicolas Battini

The Mossa Palatina candidates presented everywhere, except in the 2nd constituency of Haute-Corse… The observation may have seemed surprising given that the territory is the stronghold of Nicolas Battini, candidate further north. The latter having already declared that his objective and that of his movement was to defeat the outgoing deputy, does this mean that a strategy without a house candidate is considered more effective? “We did not want to take votes from a candidate well placed to win,” Nicolas Battini told us.

Participation

Europeans…

A retrospective look at the results tables of the recent European elections already measures the gap that those of the next legislative election will reveal, even beyond participation. The stronghold communities of political leaders and other prominent elected officials already give an idea of what this contrast will represent. It is a safe bet that in the town of Lozzi, land of the outgoing deputy and the president of the executive, where Jordan Bardella came out on top on the evening of June 9, the situation will be completely different on June 30. It should be noted, however, that in Santa Lucia di Mercoriu, stronghold of the senator of Haute-Corse, the RN candidate is far from having won the lion’s share in the European elections. It is said that Paul Parigi wanted to “do the job” to make it so.
