The police were called to the Bicêtre hospital in Kremlin-Bicêtre (Val-de-) this Friday evening after an emergency doctor was attacked. A 27-year-old suspect was arrested. This is the son of a patient. The man came to check on his father and considered the wait too long, indicates Le Figaro. He allegedly punched the victim, who fell to the ground in shock and injured his arm.

An ITT and a complaint

The doctor received three days of ITT. The suspect, placed in police custody, was to be referred in anticipation of being placed under judicial supervision for “violence against a healthcare professional followed by incapacity of less than 8 days”. A complaint was filed and an investigation into “violence against a person responsible for a public service mission” opened, announced the Créteil public prosecutor’s office (Val-de-Marne).

Quoted by Actu , the mayor (PS) Jean-François Delage explained that he “regretted this attack” and recalled that this type of violence also exists “in front of teachers, in schools”. The AP-HP, for its part, wished to provide its support to the victim and described the attack as “unacceptable and unbearable”.
