Will the citizens of Valbroye be called to the polls to vote on their municipality’s waste sorting policy? On Monday, the Municipality confirmed to the Municipal Council that a popular initiative was being validated with the administration. Its aim would be to maintain collection points outside Granges-près-Marnand.

Born from the merger of eight entities in 2011, the municipality recently inaugurated the Canard sorting center, for which an investment of 4.3 million was validated in two stages. Its opening must correspond with the closure of other collection points. These include the Combremont-le-Petit recycling center, Valbroye having also recently terminated its partnership for the use of that of Dompierre.

This desire angers some citizens. If their initiative is validated, the collection of signatures can begin.
