Speaking at the ceremony, Le Chi Phuong, vice chairman of the Co Do District People’s Committee, said the export of this first batch of green mango would motivate local producers to actively acquire scientific and technical knowledge and new regulations in domestic and foreign markets, to improve the quality and design of their products to better meet market demands, thereby helping to increase the value of Co Do mangoes as well as the income of local residents.

The city of Can Tho currently has 3,376 ha of mangoes, with an estimated production of 17,500 tonnes.
