Caissarg'ton coeur supports diabetics in Gard

Saturday, November 9, the Caissarg'ton coeur association organized a solidarity craft market in the Fernand-Bedos room for the benefit of the Diabétics du association.

On this occasion, visitors who came to look for jams, sweets, Christmas decorations or small gifts to put under the tree, got to know the members of this association which provides information and warning about diabetes. This disease affects 4 million French people. “Among these patients, there are around 700,000 who are affected without knowing it. There are 400 people diagnosed every day. In Gard, the figures are unfortunately increasing because there were 51,000 diabetics in 2021 and 52 610, just a year later, in 2022″, underline the volunteers of the Gard Diabetics Association.

They organize a diabetes café every second Monday of the month, from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

They will also organize, Saturday November 16, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., the diabetics forum with conferences, debates and stands, in the Departmental Archives premises.
