After Madrid's request for European solidarity to help it deal with the consequences of the floods which left at least 222 dead in the country, France will send “40 rescuers from military civil security formations and around ten territorial firefighters” In “the next few hours”announced the Minister of the Interior, Bruno Retailleau, Monday November 11 on X.

In terms of reconstruction and aid to disaster victims, 110 new measures were approved on Monday during a council of ministers, for a total amount of nearly 3.8 billion euros. Among them is an envelope of 200 million euros for farmers, and another of 500 million intended to finance the evacuation “thousands of tons of mud and debris” accumulated in affected areas.

This aid comes in addition to a previous package of 10.6 billion euros presented last week by the Prime Minister Pedro Sanchezincluding tax relief, a three-month postponement of the repayment of property loans and the assumption by the central State of the expenses incurred by the municipalities for the immense cleaning work.
