Pierre Giry presents himself under the label of “ Republicans with Éric Ciotti » in 3e constituency of Manche (Coutances-Valognes), with as substitute a representative of the National Rally, Marion Quétier. This is a first candidacy for elections for the man who also joined Bain in September 2022 – and who is a lecturer at IEP Paris.
A professional career in auditing and consulting
A graduate of ESSEC Business School in 2016 and an associate professor of economics and finance in 2021 (external aggregation), Pierre Giry started his career at EY at the end of 2016 as a consultant and then manager in corporate finance – he stayed there for 6 years.
He then joined the world of strategy consulting and more specifically the Bain & Company firm as a consultant. He is mainly positioned on strategic due diligence matters for purchasing and sales, value creation plans and cost reduction programs.
Pierre Giry has also been teaching at IEP Paris since January 2022, within the Finance & Strategy master’s degree (financial analysis and evaluation).
On the political side, although this is his first candidacy for elections, the consultant was part of the office of François-Xavier Bellamy, candidate in Yvelines during the 2017 legislative elections.

Decision “personal» of the president of the Republicans according to other leaders of his party, the agreement was disavowed by the latter as soon as it was announced. In Manche, LR elected officials have expressed their opposition to any alliance with the RN. This does not prevent Pierre Giry from greeting “an alliance that [les membres des Républicains] many had hoped for a long time“, according to comments reported by our colleagues from Ouest France. According to him, LR and the RN find themselves on “security issues with the reconstruction of borders, the defense of purchasing power, particularly on energy issues“,and also the will “to bring a certain rigor on the economic level “.
The joint LR-RN list also includes numerous airdrops. Despite “family ties» in the constituency, Pierre Giry lives in Oise. He said he was going“on vacation in Hauteville-sur-Mer for 15 years»to our colleagues atWest France.
Pierre Giry’s RN deputy, Manon Quétier, an oyster farmer, had already run in elections, European in this case, on the Les Forgotten de l’Europe list in 2019.
This 3e Channel constituency will see 6 candidates compete for 1er tour, including the former Minister of Agriculture and Food Stéphane Travert, outgoing Renaissance MP.
