The Meuse discovers its “Incredible Talents”

There are seven friends from Stainville, Xavier, David, Ophélie, Isaline, Mickaël, Marion and Michou who, one fine day, accompanied Pascal the magician to Paris for an audition for the show “France has an incredible talent” produced by the M6 channel.

Some time later, while observing their daughters’ dance performance, they said to themselves “why not highlight the Meuse talents, the know-how and the cultural richness in the broad sense of our department?” “.

This is how the Dummix association was born, with the “Tal’en Meuse” logo. The idea is to find artists likely to express the best of their art, whether they are musicians, singers, acrobats, magicians or jugglers (the list is not exhaustive), to make choices and to accompany the winner at the Parisian audition.

Two selection sequences took place, the first on June 1 in Thierville-sur-Meuse which presented 18 candidates and the second in Cousances-les-Forges, on June 15 where 17 candidates presented themselves.

“We are going to select a total of 24 artists,” explains Xavier, “the ultimate winner will be chosen by the public, i.e. 1,200 people, who will vote during a 2.5 hour show organized on November 16, at La Barroise in Bar-le-Duc. It will above all be a family evening but could be a springboard for artists. Upstream, to base our choices on something concrete and obtain great diversity, we took into account three selection criteria: technique, creativity and interaction with the public because they are not the same thing. perform in front of a camera or in front of spectators. Moreover, we were surprised by the level of the candidates presented with whom we could already put on a show.”

He adds “this project required a year of preparation, with a budget of €20,000. The overall idea is to have 100% Meuse partners, such as companies that promote made in France, communities but also artists of another style such, for example, as designers who will know how to sketch the candidates during the course. of the evening “.

Such an organization is based on the specificities of each member of the association in different fields, whether in IT, communication, photography, administrative management but also on the goodwill of the 35 to 40 volunteers who provide their support.

Candidates will have to wait until the end of June/beginning of July to know the jury’s decision. The Barroise ticket office will be open from July 1st.

  • Volunteers come to support, there are between 35 and 40 in total.
  • A music group presented an original creation.
