On the occasion of World Diabetes Day, the Auch hospital center is offering an introductory day to health Rugby in partnership with the Auch Rugby Club and the French Diabetics Association.
This Thursday, November 14, marks World Diabetes Day. This chronic disease affects nearly 4 million French people. Incurable, it is however subject to therapeutic treatment to prevent complications. In Gers, and more particularly in Auch, the hospital center will collaborate with the Rugby Club Auch and the French association of diabetics as part of this event.
The general public is invited to an awareness and prevention day dedicated to this disease. On the program: a fun physical activity accessible to all: health rugby. A sport that is played five against five, without contact, and without going to the ground.
Participants will have the opportunity to discover the benefits of a collective and inclusive practice. An introduction to health rugby will be organized at the Jacques-Fouroux stadium from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. The event is accessible to everyone, regardless of age or physical condition. The hospital's diabetology team (dietician, fitness trainer and nurses) will be there to answer your questions.
It is recommended to bring sneakers and comfortable clothing to fully enjoy the activity. In the event of bad weather, a retreat is planned under the RCA marquee.
