A partnership for physical health

The University of Quebec at Rimouski (UQAR) announced, on May 30, a new partnership with the Lévis-based company which manufactures outdoor play modules for children, Jambette, following the creation of a exercises designed especially for an adult clientele which has just been inaugurated at the Lévis campus.

Located near the UQAR sports center, this new project aims in particular to improve the physical health of the university community. Named Fitzone, the module is a new product developed by the company Jambette in collaboration with the Clinique Physio-Ergo Rééduc+Active.

The installation of this outdoor exercise module represents an investment of $30,000. Over the coming months, Jambette will document the performance of the device and carry out its maintenance. With the help of posters, people who use it will be able to follow a training program in a safe manner.

“This partnership is part of our desire to promote healthy lifestyle habits in our community. We would like to thank Jambette for choosing UQAR to experiment with this new infrastructure accessible to both the student population and the staff of UQAR and even to the Lévis population,” concluded David Ouellet, secretary general and vice-rector to student life.
