Tuesday, November 5, at the departmental Rugby headquarters, Max Godemet, president of CD 40, surrounded by representatives of the UNSS, Usep, the French Rugby Federation and the Ligue de Nouvelle-Aquitaine, received the academy inspector Bruno Brevet as part of the signing of an agreement establishing a partnership with the school to facilitate the learning of rugby in schools.
These two protagonists had already, eight years ago, done the same thing but incidents of violence here and there had, little by little, made parents reluctant to continue sending their children to learn this discipline. “It is important to reconnect with the school environment. It's a win win. We even have to plow the land,” said the president, listing “all this progress, such as training shared with 83 school teachers and qualified educators. Also with new tools in the context of physical education, such as the provision of educational sheets which detail adapted rules. Mr. Inspector, thank you for your responsiveness and I remain hopeful that rugby will continue to develop,” insisted Max Godemet, who will hand over the reins soon.
300 balloons offered
Well in symbiosis, the academy inspector underlined “the very particular role” of the president at the level of the departmental committee. He highlighted “the desire to allow students to really find pleasure in playing rugby, knowing that 3 hours of weekly PE is not enough in itself. Furthermore, with regard to teachers, this shared training can only allow equal opportunities for students. You can learn the sport very well on the field. It is fortunate that our preparatory work has resulted in this synergy in a sunnier climate.”
Implied, the first meeting of past years, outlined previously, had benefited from a less serene atmosphere. Finally, as the highlight of this signature, 300 balloons will soon be distributed to primary schools in Landes.
